A collection of originals, covers, and medleys performed "live" in my room and recorded (i.e. filmed) at various times over the past 2-3 years via my iPhone. The audio was mixed in Logic and then "extracted" from the accompanying video I shot to create two audio companions, originally released as "In My Room" in 2022, followed by a second volume in 2023. This release/compilation includes a handpicked selection from those two audio LPs, as well as some things that have never before been published in audio-only form, such as the opening medley, which was recorded just last month (at the time of this writing, i.e. March 2024), and an alternative take of "I'll Take You Home." Note that "Satisfied Mind" is the sole track here performed on my classical nylon-string guitar, while the rest of the selections were played on my Guild acoustic.

This - and both of the previously-published "In My Room" releases - is perhaps the rawest, most intimate collection of songs I have ever assembled. All performances are presented "as-is," with no separation of vocals/guitar, as everything was played 100% live in my room (as the title implies...), with no effects added to the mixes after-the-fact (except slight reverb at times, though I opted for a basically dry mix in most cases), and no overdubs; further, there was no backing added to any of these tracks, as I often do with my acoustic studio recordings (i.e. no ambient drones, rain samples, etc.). Indeed, everything here is raw and unadulterated, for "better or worse" - hiss, accidental background noises in my room, the creak of the chair I was sitting on, and all other blemishes are herein exposed unabashedly.

One last thing I'd like to say about this release is that I think it represents a pretty good picture of "Marc Lowe: Musician" as "singer-songwriter," a role I have shied away from a bit in recent years, as my focus has been more on electronic and/or experimental improvisations, etc., both on my studio releases recorded at home (or else in the studio) and live. If you are a listener who tends to prefer more standard "songs" - with lyrics/melody, verse/chorus/bridge - to "soundscapes" or the more abstract ambient/noise style experiments I have been doing a lot lately, then this release may indeed be more your cup of tea.
